Program overview

Vibe’s junior league program for girls ages 9-12 (born after to June 30th, 2011) fills the space between recreational/development programs and a long-term club commitment. This 4-month program provides all the key technical skills necessary to play the game, groups girls of equal age/skill/ability into teams, teaches team skills and synergy, and allows them to compete as a team against other teams/clubs in five real, but modified tournaments throughout the January-May season.

Team’s are coached by high level club coaches with assistants knowledgeable about the game.

This year’s program starts quickly, with one practice per week and the first tournaments in mid-January and early February. As the girls improve, teams move to 2 practices per week in late February.

This program has a lower level of commitment than a full club team program, but prepares athletes for 2024-25 club teams and develops the foundation for a lifelong enjoyment of this game.

Season details

Vibe Volleyball plans to create multiple teams at our locations in Walnut Creek, Alamo/Danville, and Orinda. See below for team options. Teams will be formed in late December/early January, practice 1-2X per week, and play in tournaments on the following dates:

• January 21

• February 3

• March 16

• April 7

• May 5th

Teams are formed and will practice at one of the locations/days/times.

Walnut Creek (at the Vibe gym)

• Session #J24-1:

  • Starts Tuesday, Jan 2nd meeting 1X per week on Tuesdays, 5:30-7pm,

  • Then moves to 2X per week starting Feb 27th, Tuesdays, 5:30-7pm/Thursdays, 4:00-5:30pm

• Session #J24-2:

  • Starts Wednesday, Jan 3rd meeting 1X per week on Wednesdays, 5:30-7pm,

  • Then moves to 2X per week starting Feb 26th, Mondays/Wednesdays, 5:30-7pm

Danville/Alamo at Stone Valley Middle School (SVMS), SRV united Methodist Church (SRVUMC), or Charlotte Wood Middle sChool

• Session #J24-3:

  • Starts Thursday, Jan 4th meeting 1X per week on Thursdays 4-5:30pm at SRVUMC,

  • Then moves to 2X per week to Mondays 7-8:30pm and Thursdays 4-5:30pm starting Feb 26th

Orinda (Wagner Ranch)

• Session #J24-4:

  • Starts Monday, Jan 8th meeting 1X per week on Mondays 4:00-5:30pm, (some Tuesdays added due to Various Monday holidays)

  • Then moves to 2X per week Mondays/Wednesdays, 4-5:30pm starting Feb 28th.

Season fee is $1950, includes everything, including jerseys!
